"More hassle then good"
Used these bikes in Brighton - good idea but shocking quality - tried twice to unlock the bike, was being charged and the wheels wouldn't move and the lock still up - I was being charged per minute for this, all whilst my partner was waiting with a bike that was ready to go and being charged, for it to lock on pause mode and us to get charged again!. Ended up taking 20 minutes. tried to speak to customer service on the app, slow and shocking response. Ended up being late.

"Absolutely shocking"
Absolutely shocking. Bike was locked and still continued to charge me. They even tried to say I was still riding at 23:15 after emailing them at 10:45 asking for help as it wouldn't stop charging me. The customer service was the worst I have ever encountered, and said I was lying even though I had tried to email and had screenshots of the time it locked. Stay well clear of this scam company

"SCAM COMPANY"
Myself and two friends tried to use these bikes, after them being unlocked and still not cycling or working, we tried to lock them and put them back on the locking stations. They didn't go back into the station (it wouldn't let any of us get them back in), so we left them next to it. Next morning we go on our app to find the bike has been active for 16 hours... Charging each of us ÂŁ60!! Customer service is shocking they say they call you back but never do. Absolute scam of a company don't go anywhere near the bikes.

"Dangerously negligent, poor excuse for a company"
Today, I rode one of your bikes to get to work, as I do most days.
I noticed that the Headset on the bike was very loose. when I reported this, I was met with rude responses from 'Flavio'
He stated that the bikes are 'checked' every day, to which I shared my scepticism, as this particular issue was quite far-gone, indicating that it's been this way for a while. Not only was the headset loose, but it SO LOOSE that you could visibly see the bearings rocking back & forth in the headset cups. This is dangerously negligent. I asked to see proof of when this particular bike was last checked, which "flavio" blatantly ignored.
This is not the first time I've reported similar issues, via your app, and I'm always met with snarky, 'know-it-all' staff, telling me the bike is perfectly safe and "is checked regularly" despite being sat in an office, miles away, having never even seen the bike, and seemingly no records to show that each bike has been inspected. I use them every day and I can tell you, that the standard of maintenance is POOR. I am an experienced cycle mechanic, with a lot of experience working on bikes of all types, and will not be lectured by some clueless customer service representative, miles away.
Furthermore, a few months back, I made a complaint that the chain on one of your bikes suddenly came off, upon closer inspection, the chain device which is used to hold the chain tight, was practically hanging off the bike. When this gave-way, it caused me to fall off the bike, in the middle of the road. I reported this and your customer service person showed no concern for my safety and shrugged off any responsibility. I've seen bikes with missing brake levers, missing brake cables, buckled wheels, handlebars misaligned, missing grips....I could go on, but the notion that you safety check these bikes "daily" is utterly laughable, and clearly false. Are you aware that a bicycle handlebar without a suitable end-plug, can literally impale a human being, in a crash? That'll be a fun one for your legal team to deal with (if you even have one).
I can assure you that next time I ride one of your bikes and this type of incident happens again, I will be taking legal action, due to your negligence and failure to maintain these bicycles. Let's see if Manchester city council renews your contract (CC'd), when they see all the complaints about you on Trustpilot and other sites. (I'll be adding one of my own, too) 🙂

"Excuses"
Something went wrong, Bike did not release, Not available for hire, Lock is stuck are some of the lame excuses Beryl has to offer, especially when you're in a hurry and all 10 bikes parked have different lame excuses of their own and even when it says unlocked on the app, the bike does not bother to release, oh and did I say the app is useless and will not end the ride so you have to contact the operators to assist you with ending your journey, and this can go all the way to 10 pounds , lets just say you'd be better off walking or taking a bus, avoid this crap

Absolutely poor, my girlfriend locked her bike and left the zone however her ride wouldn’t end and there was no option to end it. No support available, we waited around and nothing happened, she was then charged £10 for leaving it unlocked when it was locked. Awful service, first and last time we’ll use them

"Lack of availability/poor build quality."
The idea is great, and it's clearly popular looking at the amount of bikes and scooters in use, but there's still clearly not enough of them, winter time it's abit easier to find an available scooter, but spring/summer forget it!! Especially in the charminster/Winton area of Bournemouth. The bays seem to be permanently empty, can be just as bad in the Bournemouth town centre by evening time, very few scooters around, and good luck ever trying to find the elusive 'electric bike', I think I have seen one once in a year! Maybe they only have one? This renders the whole service pointless. The build quality is also pretty bad, having used another company's scooter scheme in London I can say the Beryl's don't even come close, bumpy ride usually accompanied by awful rattling noise, usually from the 'phone holder' at the front (which no one uses) or the flimsy plastic at the back over the wheel.

"Great product and service"
Really quick and helpful customer service. I had an issue with the locking and was refunded for the time where the bike wouldn't lock. Very good value with the minutes balance too :)
