"What a total shambles Beryl are"

What a total shambles Beryl are. The fact that for every ride you’re charged a £1 pre authorisation just to unlock the bike and then the total cost of your journey. I use the bikes to get to and from work everyday that’s £2 in pre authorisation charges everyday that don’t refund straight away. Honestly how hard is it to just use the pre authorisation charge towards the cost of the journey. They’re quick to take the journey cost out your bank that only seems to stay pending for a day but no you got to way 7 working days to get your pre authorisation payments back. Honestly cheaper getting an Uber at this rate

"Do not use their bike!!!"

Do not use their bike!!!! They CHARGE me £10 eventually but I just ride from 10 mins. I dock and lock the bike, but the ride still didn't end and the clock still keep counting. I sent msg to the chat group and no one answer me afterwards. This company is a joke and ridiculous!!!!!!!

"Really want to use their services but can't"

I support the company's vision completely and really want to use their services. Sadly, there are no pedal bikes available! Last time I visited Bournemouth & Boscombe, I jogged around for 45 minutes without success, the 1 bike that was apparently available was not there when I finally arrived. It would actually have been quicker to walk to my destination.

"Poor service and sarcastic staff"

Poor service and sarcastic staff make a very poor business. I hate seeing the bikes vandalised around Bournemouth but after the very unpleasant experience with their customer service team I am starting to get it.

Scamming the public here and there shouldn’t be the modus operandi and I hope to see this business go under having had their customer service team leave a particularly nasty taste in my mouth.

The scooter was restricted as I went over iford bridge and I was forced to travel over a mile in the opposite direction (whilst being charged to do it) to avoid a £5 penalty as they don’t have scooter drop off bays anywhere near the cut off boundary. The employee was more than happy to tell she wanted to focus on a rude word I used “f****d my day up” when it wasn’t even used as an insult toward her but as a term of phrase when I was understandably (to a normal human) annoyed at being forced to ride a mile in the wrong direction.

This company has employed incredibly badly when the result of a complaint is an unpleasant and sarcastic jobs worth who seems to revel in being unhelpful to the folks who pay their wages.

I will never give another penny to this company. I look forward to the day the green scambikes are all collected up and the staff are sent their P45s so they can go off find another call centre to gloat in.

"Unreliable and overpriced"

Ive been using the e scooters this past week to get to and from work.
There is a £1.50 unlock fee, every time you get on one. So £1.50 in the morning, £1.50 on the way home, + the price per minute to ride the thing. Thats already more expensive than getting a bus.
But then its £1.50 if you need to stop at sainsburys on the way home, or £1.50 if the battery dies and you need to switch scooters, and the battery better die near a parking bay or thats another £5.

Today I rode to work and parked in the bay like I always do… but I just checked my emails and they decided to charge me £5 for out of bay parking…
Ive requested a refund from the support team but either way, I dont think I will use these again. Roll on the day when we can just buy and use our own scooters.

"Scoot along the prom!"

My wife and I hired E scooters to go from Bournemouth to Hengistbury Head. There wasn't any available locally but we managed to find some ten minutes away. The process of unlocking them was straightforward as was learning how to ride them. They went a good speed and we had an enjoyable time. We will be using them again!

"I was relying on beryl bikes regularly"

I was relying on beryl bikes regularly, as it is perfect to get to the train station in the morning. However, few times already I had issues with unlocking the bikes. Today, both bikes that were available were faulty. I had to return home to drive my car instead and was almost late. Very unreliable, never going to use again as not worth stressing out!

"Absolute shambles"

Started off perfectly me and my boss both unlocked bikes and were on our way. When we arrived he locked his bike. I did that exact same thing but mine wouldn't lock on the app. He paid £1.70 and I paid £10. Customer service don't want to know and couldn't care less

"Terrible experience"

Terrible experience, bicycle didn't unlock continued to charge me all evening. I never even cycled the thing it remained in the bay
