"Terrible customer service "

Lovely property but terrible customer service and no refund of damages deposit, despite confirmation that all was left in excellent order and no damages occurred. I have been battling with Host & Stay admin for 5 weeks regarding refund of the £250 damages deposit with continued assurance that they are looking into it, but no action. It is impossible to get beyond what feels like an automated response. The customer service is terrible which is a shame as it was actually a beautiful property in Alnwick, Northumberland. I will not book with them again.

"Amazing property, stunning views. "

Amazing property, in a superb location next to Whitby Abbey, catering for all our needs for a comfortable and relaxing break. The property is situated in a fantastic location, with stunning views both from the property over Whitby town and coast and along the costal path close by. The brewery / pub round the corner is also a great addition to the area and easy access down into the town either by foot or car.
The communication from Host & Stay was exceptional, answered all messages promptly and we had all the information we needed - the online, downloadable guide of the property was an excellent touch too.
Travelled with 2 teenagers and a dog and all thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

"We had another great stay at Sandy…"

We had another great stay at Sandy Cove. We have been several times before, we particularly enjoyed the new windows to sit and look out at the amazing view this time. It was clean and as described and it is a perfect location. We will definitely be staying again.

"Wrong access info and freezing apartment"

We arrived at Upton House at 10pm at night, which the hosts were aware of, to find the key code given was incorrect and we couldn’t get into the apartment. I contacted the phone number for it initially to go unanswered. Finally we got through to be told repeatedly us not being able to get access to the key was “user error”. They finally accepted there might be a chance the code wasn’t right to ring us back another 10 mins later to give us a different code, which worked. No apology. Given at this point it was nearly 11pm we were relieved to be inside only to then find the temperature in the apartment was at 12 degrees. We adjusted it but it was absolutely freezing and we had to sleep in our clothes to be warm enough. It was horrendous.
The following morning I requested a refund and two weeks later after messaging numerous times and being told conflicting information I’m no nearer to getting a resolution.
Ultimately, nice apartment but the customer service is terrible. If you don’t want to be left without access and/or freezing and being strung along with lies, find alternative accommodation.

Had a great stay at Waterleap Cottage. The cottage was clean and well equipped and the location was great for local places and Newcastle.

The accommodation was just as nice in the flesh as the pictures. Couldn't ask for a better location to the centre of Whitby. Will definitely stay here again without hesitation. Loved it!!

"Studio Pod 3 is very nice and handy for the old town."

Studio Pod 3 is a well appointed apartment on the second floor of a victorian building on one of the main streets in the old part of town. As the Pod is at the back of the building it is very quiet. The location is excellent with shops, bars and eateries close by together with a Sainsburys and a Spar. The beachfront is only a short walk and the station is also handy. Parking was no problem at this time of year. The flat was in good condition with very good heating and hotwater for the shower and bath. The facilities were very good with fridge. cooker, microwave dishwasher, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee maker with plenty of refills etc and cloths, bin bags, jay cloths, soap, loo roll etc. We did not have rush out and buy anything. We had a great time in Saltburn and hope to come back next year.

Host and Stay were amaze to book through. Charlie answered most my emails and she replied so fast to me ! Would definitely recommend and the house we stayed at in Liverpool this weekend was amazing! Would definitely book through host and stay again!
