I have had the worst experience with Mashreq Bank. Their customer service is absolutely terrible—every day, customers complain, yet they do nothing to improve.

I have been requesting a refund for a rejected transfer, but instead of providing a proper solution, they keep giving vague responses and delaying the process. No accountability, no professionalism.

If you value your time and money, I highly recommend avoiding this bank. They are unresponsive, unreliable, and a complete disappointment. A true shame for a financial institution

"Hands down the worst bank I have dealt…"

Hands down the worst bank I have dealt with in 13 years in UAE. I had conflicting info received from customer service agents, no proper updates, no follow throughs on commitments, no guidance for customer. They simply say "it's on process, we will update you" but absolutely NOTHING happens. Most frustrating experience I ever had, I feel that this bank doesn't care about its customers. Just a simple signature update and Direct Debit Approval takes forever. ABSOLUTELY WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Very bad bank , too much hidden charges, customer care staff dont know there own product , I have got intrest and over limit fees on febrwery month , after 5days I paid all amount , and next statment also same intrest and over limit fees , l ask them they toald me this is the terms and conditions

"Most Worst Banking Experience and Terrible Customer Service "

I have had multiple frustrating experiences with Mashreq Bank, which have completely eroded my trust in their services.

Previously, during my loan top-up, the agent presented me with an EMI structure that was completely different from what I ended up receiving.

Currently, during the buyout process, they tried to convince me to stay by claiming they’d offer me a better deal. However, I had already lost my trust in the bank due to their repeated unethical behavior. This time, they deducted an extra amount. While the 1% principal amount and 5% VAT were correct, the original principal amount deducted was more than expected. When I approached support via chat, they acknowledged the discrepancy but advised me to visit a branch. At the branch, they raised the concern but I didn't get a response. When I called the helpline, they shared a link for dispute resolution, meaning I had to start the same cycle again.

I lost around 1200 AED, but overall, it is incredibly disappointing when a financial institution behaves in such a deceptive manner, especially when customers rely on them for fairness and transparency. I strongly recommend that others be cautious when dealing with Mashreq Bank and verify all calculations and agreements meticulously to avoid falling victim to their practices.

"Swift"

Good afternoon. I am writing to share my unpleasant experience of interaction with Mashreq Bank. I have been using the bank for several years and recently the need for an international swift transfer arose. On February 12, 2025, I made the transfer. On the same day, the transfer status changed to “correspondent bank” and since then (for almost a month) the transaction has not moved, the balance has not been returned. I came to a bank branch where the employee told me that he had filled out an application and they would contact me (he didn’t even give me the reference number for this application). For a week no one has contacted us. Afterwards, I filled out a request in the chat in the application, which continues to this day. At first they told me 1-2 business days, after that it was 4-6. I really hope that the mashreq bank employees will pay attention and make efforts to correct this problem. Thank you!

I have initiated local bank transfer but its still pending for 48 hours now, i have called twice and raised complaint and when i followed up today the customer service mentioned there were no complaints.. Until now the Money never transferred or reflected back to my account.. Very bad experience and i lost my trust on this bank
