"Payment taken by Petleys (AKA Mowers2Go) no goods or response"

I ordered chainsaw parts from Petleys in early January, they took immediate payment but have not received parts. I've tried calling many times and emailing (bounced back). Their website was updated a few days ago redirecting me to Mowers2Go (has same address and tel phone number) - no reply. This is also same address & tel as Acle Garden Machinery, (Norwich Rd, Acle, Norwich NR13 3BY).
I see today that Petleys website has been suspended, this does not bode well for my order, money or associated companies - beware.

"Emailed again with no response…"

Emailed again with no response concerning my order that was made last August. Refund has been requested several times but this has not been acted on. No response has been received concerning my last review.
A company that will take your money but not deliver the goods.

"Made to wait 8 months to fulfil an order....and still waiting!"

I hate to join the growing number of highly negative reviews but there does seem to be a pattern here. I ordered a Stihl Hedge Trimmer with two Stihl batteries back in May and, despite repeated chasers, I have never received the batteries. I warned them that I would be making a claim through my credit card company on 30 December, if they did not either refund me or supply the batteries by 14 January, and have heard nothing. I therefore initiated my claim today.

I don't know what is going on behind the scenes with this Company but clearly there is something seriously wrong. After a previous very good experience on a purchase, and reading favourable reviews on Trustpilot, I was prepared to believe them when they claimed to be having a supply issue over the batteries, particularly as I could see that there had been some product availability issues at Stihl. However, the notices on their website, firstly around staff illness and then their phone and email systems, started to raise an alarm. It has been gradual. First it became hard to get them to answer the phone, emails were responded to but after a considerable delay, and then the LiveChat was taken down. Now all the apologies appear to have been removed and they are not picking up the phone or responding to my emails at all. In December, I noticed my batteries were showing as "in-stock" on their website but, when I asked for my order to be fulfilled by email, I received no response. I then contacted my credit card company and was told that I should give them 10 working days to satisfy my order or provide me with a refund, which I duly did. Again, no response. That deadline passed yesterday.

My message to mowers2go/Acle Garden Machinery is this - if you want to stay in business, you cannot ignore your customers. If the reviews I now see had been posted when I was looking to purchase my equipment back in May, I would never have given you my order. I also would not have written this review had you not ceased communicating and I am struggling to believe all the issues which you claim to be having have prevented you from answering the phone or responding to emails. You still appear to have a functional selling website for new orders! Whether they are delivered of course, I shall not be testing after this experience. It is not too late to put an end to this claim - just fulfil the order. However, the matter is now in the hands of my credit card company and they will be in touch.

"Scammers"

Paid £200 for equipment and was told would arrive in a few weeks. Chased up again and again and eventually got reply to ticket in early December saying it would be with me by the weekend. Nothing arrived - all further communication totally ignored. Reported to credit card company and fraud department.

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Took payment for an item in November straightaway, just shy of £400! Never delivered the goods, emailed and called constantly no response. After threatening further legal action they finally responded saying they will refund me for the item, money never received and are not responding to follow up emails! It seems They are taking peoples money without any intention of delivering goods or refunding them!

Absolute scam company. Take your order and money and then hear nothing from them. Still haven't had a refund from an order placed over 2 months ago that was never delivered.
