Having had repeated problems with a tenant not paying rent I joined SAL and immediately accessed its helpline. I was given extremely useful advice as well as links to the documents I needed to send my tenant. I find there is a huge amount of information on the internet for tenants with problems but little for landlords. It has made such a difference to me to get immediate advice and to feel supported. I consider my membership fee to be money well spent.

With it comes a regular magazine, newsletters and the opportunity to attend branch meetings (or, currently, virtual chat sessions) - so useful to hear from fellow landlords about shared experiences, concerns, and sometimes even triumphs!

The website is constantly updated to reflect changes in legislation, is easy to navigate, provides downloadable templates for all key aspects of letting and includes useful links to other resources and organisations.

Knowing I can contact SAL by phone or email to benefit from fully informed and individually focused advice is enormously reassuring. I cannot recommend membership highly enough.

Very impressed with Scottish Association of Landlord's Zoom meeting. These seminars are invaluable for the information that can be picked up from other landlords, as well as hearing innovative ideas. SAL offer free legal advice for members; keep members informed of all up to date requirements; lobby Government on behalf of their members, as well as organising seminars. The membership fee is worth every penny for the relevant support the Association provide.

This is my first year as a member of SAL.
I have been in property business for many years. In last few years government introduced many legislation in letting business. I find it difficult to run this business without full knowledge. SAL helped me a great deal. Anytime I had any problem SAL were on the other side of the phone to help. Joining SAL was the best investment for me. Corona brought many problems for landlords, so many changes are coming every other day. I believe every landlord should become a member and take on courses. Knowledge is important for every business. SAL staff are very friendly and understanding.
