Contacted and discussed with advisor prior to purchasing alarm system. Helpful and knowledgeable. Ordered direct and received kit the next day. Straightforward to install and add each component eg outside siren and various contacts and PIRs. Had issue with one of the door contacts, contacted ERA and received replacement next day. Great kit and service plus easy to use ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t fault the company. Spoke to Kaush who was extremely professional and helped me set up my inherited alarm and cameras. (The previous owner mentioned him as he spoke to Kaush prior to them leaving and suggested I asked for him). Set up was easy with his help and the alarm and cameras are working. Furthermore he even advised me on subscription packages and how they would work. What I liked about Kaush was, he said he wasn’t a sales guy, just a tech guy. He never once pushed me towards buying anything extra. However, something I will now consider. Thank you ERA, especially Kaush.

The Geo Location doesn’t work
The voice command only works for the first couple of days after fitting new batteries.
The thumb print works as long as it isn’t raining or cold. So great in the summer 😂
The app works but can take a long time to connect.
But on the bright side the override key works every time. So all in all a very expensive product that only partially works.
And to top it off I have to change the batteries every 2 weeks, I have now bought various makes of batteries but all last around 2 weeks.
Very disappointing but now having a complete new door fitted so back to good old key.

"Too many false alarms"
Out of 4 nights with the alarm on the motion detector triggered a false alarm on 2 of them. Waiting to hear if ERA can suggest why this is. In the meantime the alarm is unusable.

"ERA miGuard SL2 Wireless Solar Siren not fit for purpose."
Purchased the ERA miGuard SL2 wireless Solar Siren, I had to return it as it was not fit for purpose.
1/ Exit delay can be set to 0-250 seconds but entry is fixed at 15 seconds which wasn't adequate time to disable it. I was told that if I purchased a Hub (£200) I could increase entry time but the Hub is not part of the advertised miGuard SL2 stand alone system.
2/ The Keypad beeps and flashes on exit but is completely dead when entering i.e no sound or flashing so you don't know if other members of your family have switched the alarm off or if it's on Home part set.
3/ Before I purchased the system I was informed it wouldn't arm if a door/window contact was left open. I tried setting it with a window contact open and it did set contrary to this information I was given. On contacting the help number I was instructed to remove the contact batteries for 30 minutes and if it set with window open they'd sent me a replacement contact. It still didn't work and I tried the other contacts and the alarm set with all door/windows open so there is a design fault in the alarm system. i.e. the sensors and Keypad can speak to the Siren/Control box but the Siren/Control box can't communicate back to the door/window contacts or keypad.
4/ The manual is very poor and lacks important information, if you want to delay a contact exit time or Fully set a PIR (it comes home set enabled apparently!), there is nothing in the manual to tell you this, I had to make several calls to the ERA helpline engineer for this information. There are very small jumper links that you need to enable/disable so you'll need to remove the PIR and Contacts to do this as its very fidgety. Lastly the Manual says the door contact magnet can be placed either side of the Door contact within 10mm, this is not the case it works 10mm on one side but only 2mm on the other so had to remove and fit the contact upside down.
Forgot to mention don't send them emails, they either ignore them or take 3 days to respond.

Before I purchased your SL2 kit I contacted your pre-sales team and was informed I could change the entry/exit times as this was “a stand alone burglar alarm system”. After I had installed the system I contacted your company again (technical advisor John) to find out how to alter the entry time as the manual only mentioned how to alter the exit time. At this point I was told I would have to pay an addition £200 for a Hub to do this.
Another important reason not to buy a ERA alarm system, although your pre sales team and technical team told me you can’t arm the system with a door/window contact open (even with an additional Hub installed) this is simply not true, it will arm with doors/windows open as I discovered.
I found this information on your website in the FAQ section, I suggest you get you pre-sales team and technical advisors to read it.

I’ll leave the readers to make up their minds on whether they would want to install an alarm system with so many flaws.
