"Looks Great, but not worth it"

This is a very long review. Please note, I understand things happen & no project is perfect.
We shopped around; TC was by far the most expensive. We appreciated that they manufactured their windows in house, there is no middleman, making the warranty process much easier if anything goes wrong. We had the project manager come out to do final measurements. When he was there, he explained the original plan to have sliders put on the back house would not be do-able b/c of the size. This sparked my 1st concern in my mind as to, if they manufacture their windows, how is it that you cannot make that size? He was preparing to leave w/out measuring the remaining back windows, when my husband asked that he take the measurements now, to prevent him from coming back out again. He measured and left. I gave it a day or 2 & with no call from TC, I emailed the sales rep & asked what the plan was now. We went with double hung & of course this meant a price increase. This was the last time I ever heard from or spoke to the sales rep. Next call was from the Project Coordinator, stating the PM had to come out & re-measure. I asked why when we specifically asked him to measure when he was there. We were told it had to do with how the sales rep put in the new order. We set aside the time for a second re-measure and asked if we could have a different PM b/c of the 1st visit & he was not the friendliest person to deal with. We were told he is the only one in this area. While he was there on 2nd measure, he scheduled the install. We were originally told it would be a 1-day job, suddenly it is now a 2-day job. He leaves, I sat there thinking, & realized the PM never mentioned the color of the trim. I called the PC & she told me she would send me the details. We verified everything & were good to go. We received a call a week later saying the install would have to be push from the 26th/27th to the 31st. This felt better knowing, now they can knock it out in 1 day vs 2. They called several days before install & said the crew would be there on the scheduled day. Note, I was told they would only cancel or push back an install date if the windows were not completed in time or poor weather. The day of the install, we are prepared & ready to go. Furniture has been moved away from the windows; all window treatments have been removed. The crew is scheduled to arrive between 8 & 12. The weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. I received a call at 10:10 saying the install will not happen today. This call was upsetting, where was the call at 8am? I was never given a reason for the cancellation. I expressed how the weather was perfect, the house is open with no window treatments. The PC apologized but again, no explanation. They rescheduled again for the next day, this time I asked that I get a 30-minute call ahead. The day of install the crew arrives bright & early, no call ahead. I would like to stress; how friendly the install team was. They went right to work & cleaned up very well. There was a language barrier with them, but we were able to understand the main points. Of the 16 windows 1 was cracked & broken & part of our wall was damaged when removing the old window, however they patched it up. The crew finished & I had to ask about the broken window & patch job. Once they left, I took pictures & sent an email to my PC. I received a call a little later & was told they were glad I sent it because they were not told about either. I was also told that a PM was supposed to come by and inspect the job. To this day, we never received that inspection. The broken window was replaced 4 weeks later. I am not too concerned about the patched wall, I just wanted to note it in case of future leaks or issues. Fast forward another two weeks later. The PC calls to see how it went with the replacement window. She offered $150 off our total. The work is done, the windows look amazing. I am truly happy with the look and quality. However, they are not worth the money, stress, & missed time from work. That is why I would not refer or recommend Thompson Creek to anyone.

"Initial Meeting with Factory Rep. Neil"

Hubby and I had the (business) pleasure of meeting Factory Representative Neil. We were somewhat nervous knowing we needed to replace a LARGE damaged 18 year old window. Neil was very informative and gave us a Brief history about the Family Owned Business, benefits of buying directly from a window manufacturer (with samples), and three different payment options. That evening, “we sealed the deal”. Based upon our experience, we look forward to being Highly Satisfied with the finished product….Stay Tuned.

"NEVER A GOOD EXPERIENCE"

They gave me a very hard sell in 2006 for widows & gutters. Had to sign that night or would not get the deal. OK done. 50 year warranty on windows which needed a repair 2021. Called to make appt, nothing for over a month. Kept calling to get earlier appt, hold times unbelievable. Day of repair, 4:15pm called to check on things. "Oh we called you" NO VOICEMAIL WAS LEFT Product not in, have to reschedule. I took time off work, waited all day, nobody called. Got cut off three times trying to contact them. Was told this is a coaching opportunity for the team. THAT DOES ME NO GOOD I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

"VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER"

My name ARHart and live in Oxon Hill, Md I contracted with Mr. Martin of Thompson Creek Window company Apr 23, 2021 for 9 windows ($10,000). Three (3) of the windows were floor to ceiling picture windows, which I had requested to be square pane windows. Mr. Martin showed me pictures of what the Square window panes would look like (finished product). Apparently, this did not translated to the signed contract. So I ended up with Rectangular (PANES) instead of the desired Square Paner, which Thompson Creek Promised.

"Thompson Creek Windows Replacement"

My wife and I are very pleased we choice Thompsons Creek to replace sixteen windows we chose Thompson Creek because of quality of the windows the salesman displayed from the salesman to the installers very professional. We were most impressed with the work ethics the installers worked as a team did a outstanding job and very comfortable having them in our home. We had one small issue which they fixed. All in all extremely pleased and highly recommend Thompson Creek. We are very happy we chose Thompson Creek for our home. ////// last entry////.

"Incredibly Frustrating"

Words cannot adequately express my frustration in working with Thompson Creek. From several missed appointments to a house full of incorrectly measured windows to delays in installation to being offered an "arrival time" of between 8AM and 4PM on a Saturday, I am just hoping this project is done soon so that I never had to work with them again.

"I Just Want My Money Back"

I am very disappointed with my experience Thompson Creek Windows. I initially placed an order for a custom steel door and frame, but changed my mind and cancelled the contract. Now, it has been hell trying to get a refund of my $1,500 deposit. The sales representative Francis Yates will not return my phone calls, texts or emails. Every time I call the main Thompson Creek number to inquire about my refund, there is one excuse after another: (1) the refund request is awaiting approval; (2) the Project Coordinator Paul said he believed the refund is in process but promised to look into the matter and email me an update - that never happened; (3) no managers are available for me to speak to because they all left at 4 p.m.; etc. Today, I spoke to a different Project Coordinator (Allison) who told me that the refund request was never initiated by the sales rep, but they are doing it now. I would have to wait yet another 7 to 10 days to receive the refund. This is crazy! I thought Thompson Creek was a reputable company. I never expected to have such a horrible experience.
