"Regular updates throughout"

Regular updates and porting a number that 'an unnamed provider' couldn't do in 11 months very impressed with their customer service and porting team.

"Absolute scam operation"

Absolute scam operation. Needed a mobile for short term use, understood that if I didn't top up after certain period would lose access to the number. No issue, didn't top up. 9 months later they started charging me a monthly £10 charge. This information on their own website is below
"How do I cancel my account?
There is no need to contact us if you no longer want to be a 1pMobile customer. All you have to do is simply not top-up your account. You can close an account immediately by going to the close account page. If you have an auto top-up in place, you will need to disable it via your Account settings page on our website."

"Terrible customer care"

Swapped over to 1p mobile almost two weeks ago. The first week the SIM card didn’t work and it took longer than advertised to receive a new SIM card. This new SIM card hasn’t worked either. I am now connected to the internet but no one can call me or text me. Don’t bother trying to call them for support, you won’t get through on the phone, it rings and no one answers. The online contact centre say they’re working on the issue, when asking for an update the following day, they say no one has started working on the issue. It’s as if they can’t communicate together as a business either. Don’t waste your time or money on them.

"They don't take the piss."

Price wise, they have some good deals. The apps good. But customer service.... one star. You can't talk to a human! They never pick up the phone! Get that sorted Penny, that's what let's you down. Sometimes its hard to get a signal too.

"Non existent customer service "

What a useless company. I ordered the 12 month SIM and because of their ridiculous order system I managed to port my current number to my tablet SIM which is also on a mobile account. I immediately contacted ( or tried to with over 20 attempts over 2 days with either busy signal or phone turned off message ). I then messaged them via their website messaging system and the next day they replied saying they had cancelled the port. Well that was a lie. I now have a mobile number ported to a tablet SIM that cannot receive or make calls and I've lost all my contacts on that SIM. What a useless company. I've a good mind to return the new SIM. Customer service non existent so beware. Cheap and nasty. That's 1 penny mobile

"Used to be good"

Used to be good. Recently I've found my mobile internet stops working with very little rhyme or reason. It happens outside of office hours. In the evening or weekend. I'm on an unlimited tariff. If it continues I will be looking elsewhere for my mobile provider.

"Started out great, now just a money-grab"

1pMobile started out as a low cost, low commitment pay as you go network with a clear pricing structure and no minimum or regular commitment, making it perfect for low volume use or anyone who did not know how much credit they'd need in advance.
This changed in 2024 when the terms and conditions were changed, and the network is now just another pay monthly network in disguise.
Users are now charged up to £10 every 60 days if they do not spend this much money in credit. The network deducts this money directly from your credit, and even has the cheek to accuse users of going into debt with them if the deductions would take your available balance below £0. When next topped up they will deduct their "commitment shortfall" from the balance. This is predatory and a monthly contract in effect. I have repeatedly asked the network to return these deductions and the network belligerently refuses, citing the change in their terms and conditions. I cannot warn uses strongly enough against the practices of 1pMobile.

"Website constantly goes down"

Website constantly goes down. When the service is running it’s ok. But when it’s down it’s very frustrating as there is no app to manage top ups.
