"Answered within a day"
I wasn't sure about the proportions of cleaner and water to use on my oiled wood floor -- Isabel answered within a day and gave me good advice about what concentration for what level of dirtiness, and pointed me towards another useful product as well

"I can’t select 0 or i would"
I can’t select 0 or i would. I thought i was alone in the problems we have had, but no, it’s a consistent thread in many reviews. The interlocking is useless the edges peel away and the flooring itself bows so that it has gaps in the joins and breaks. The flooring is supposed to have built in underlay, but that does nothing that i can see. I have B&Q flooring that is a fraction of the price and is way better. Not fit for purpose, and if there are enough similar problems, it’s may be worth considering a class action legal case.

"DO NOT BUY THIS FLOORING"
We had this flooring fitted in October 2023. It is absolutely the worst thing we have ever purchased. It is not hard wearing and scratches so easily, even just by hoovering it. The planks are so thin, they constantly move from each other because the connections are so thin they just break. The top layer of the flooring is coming up on over 50% of the kitchen. It gets caught in the hoover, the mop catches it and you catch it with shoes or slippers. We have it installed both onto solid wood and screeded concrete the damage is the same throughout. Absolute waste of money. I now need to cover it with rugs and mats as it looks absolutely terrible.

"Flooring came up after a year and the…"
Flooring came up after a year and the top layer peeling off which was a shock to see the poor quality of the flooring considering the price we paid, it's not cheap. Woodpecker sent out a surveyor to look at the issue and was told it was a fault with their flooring and advised that our floor wasn't level and needed it screeding to not void the warranty but we had to pay for this ourselves. He also said he was asking Woodpecker to send out a floor specialist to install our replacement flooring. This is when all the trouble started. These supposed specialist floor fitters damaged our walls showing plaster that had come away and metal strips showing. After contacting Woodpecker they made out that they were sorting this with the floor fitted, but after no reply after 3 weeks I contacted them again to be told they needed to contact the floor fitter, but I said that she had spoken with the floor fitter weeks earlier. I was told to send a quote through for the walls to be replastered and decorated to which we did and it's now been 5 months and our emails are being ignored. There's no way of getting in touch to make an official complaint other than an email address to which you are lucky if you get a response. This company is a joke!! Don't use them

"WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH _ DO NOT BUY"
This is the first negative review i have ever left for any company however the handling of our flooring issues has been dreadful. The lady who i have liaised with in the complaints team at Woodpecker has promised time and time again that our issues will be sorted and nothing ever happens. The floor fitter, which woodpecker have assigned to resolve our flooring problems has once again gone quiet. Just taking a good look at the other reviews, i see I'm one of many been strung along and not getting anywhere by Woodpecker .
The issues started roughly 18 months ago after our flooring started lifting and coming apart at the ends. Considering the 25 year guarantee, the floor had only been installed 3 months before these issues started. We contacted woodpecker who visited our home and they accepted full responsibility for the floor failing which we thought commendable. Our flooring was one of many batches apparently of herringbone which had failed at the ends of each board. They said our self leveling screed in parts was at a 4mm difference and their floor was only rated to 3mm. They suggested that to maintain the warranty with a new flooring to be installed, we would need the self leveling re doing at our cost but they would stand the floor and re fitting as they had been having many issues. Obviously, this is going to incur more cost to us i thought however they are the professionals and know what's best. I must add, the initial screed was done by local professional builders who fitted our kitchen at the same point and it wasn't a DIY project but i had taken woodpeckers advice.
Either way, at least we are getting our floor re done was my thinking.
With my young family and a baby on the way, the upheaval would be annoying however we understand this is one of those things and we were prepared to do whatever we could to just have it resolved as soon as possible.
This is when the excuses and real issues began!!
After ringing and ringing the same lady for 6 months the excuses began to run thin mainly around the new flooring that had been lost in transit and they couldn't find a floor fitter. Again i chased and chased and chased and after another 6 months, we were assigned a fitter. 4 months later and several conversations with this fitter, he has yet to come and hasn't even seen the job let alone booked us in to start doing any work. We are waiting for a quote to level the floor which ha has never sent. We are waiting for some fitting dates which never come. The one stipulation i made was in January. i said to to the fitter that any date would work but not in April as we were having our baby. Surprise surprise, the only date he could do was April. He said he can only come on weekends...so i try to confirm a booking in May and its gone but "i will get back to you" etc etc.
The lost, new replacement flooring which finally arrived in February honestly looked like it had fallen off a lorry. The boxes where open and planks out. i took pictures and sent them to the floor fitter and for our records. The whole experience is a joke.
We are left with a 3 week old baby and young family crawling and tripping around on our failed kitchen floor and after looking down this long list of terrible reviews, i see no other option than to contact trading standards about the terrible service we have had. I honestly think they just don't care. They have got our money and washed their hands with us. So if your thinking of buying woodpecker flooring i would certainly not recommend this company and think again. Maybe in the next 12 months something might get sorted...My wife said to me the other day i don't even want that flooring down anymore, she is so down with the whole experience.

"DO NOT BUY WOODPECKER FLOORING!!"
DO NOT BUY WOODPECKER FLOORING!!
This flooring is not fit for purpose, absolutely ruined the finish of our new kitchen from Wren. The Flooring is so brittle that the the top layer just peels away and the locking in connections are useless. Running a hoover over the floor even damages it, so dissapointed!!!

"Terrible product "
We laid this flooring, bought through wren, throughout the ground floor. Our fitter nearly quit twice because the product is so brittle that it kept snapping, he said it's the worst product he had ever used. I really wish we had listed and tried to get out money back during the fitting stages. Wren don't accept any responsibility, despite being the ones who sold it to us. I have tried to dwl with woodpecker direct and they sent out a "complimentary" pack of flooring. Within a few months chips appeared, scratches from chairs and now they've started lifting and the surface peeling away.
We will be left with no other option that to pull up the flooring and lay something new. We are devastated as it's cost us thousands.

"Woodpecker Flooring - great company "
I can’t recommend Woodpecker Flooring highly enough. They were swift to respond and so helpful. We had a problem with our initial delivery date; they immediately resolved it and saved the day.
The flooring we ordered is laid and looks brilliant.

"The company was very professional and…knowledgeable "
The company was very professional and the fitters really knew how to make it the room incredible

"We haven’t laid the floor yet"
We haven’t laid the floor yet, but my gripe is that my flooring was ordered through wren and a threshold was missed off. So I’ve ordered today and it’s £12 flat rate delivery and 7 days delivery…. Couldn’t it have been sent through the post or other courier? So this has doubled the cost of the threshold…. Just a tad disappointed when you have paid over £3k for the flooring
