"I find it more difficult to use."
The software has changed and the things I would be able to accomplish easily with the previous software take me so much longer to figure out now.

"Bugging web version needs work."
The product went from a very user friendly system to a very cumbersome one with lots of steps required to do once simple functions. Running reports, checking items/patron statuses, and more have turned into multi-step operations that take time away from servicing students and staff. Add in programming bugs and the frustration has reached very high levels. When calling support I often talk to reps who haven't used the updated program, or not being librarians themselves do not understand what I am trying to accomplish with the program and therefore are unable to help. Hopefully a situation is found soon because I would once again prefer to like using this software since I need to rely on it daily.

"Great database! Great customer help!"
Someone is always there on the phone to help me! Can't say enough about how much I love this database program to help run my library.

"Alexandria does everything our school needs"
Our district has been using Alexandria for the past 7 years. It has all the features I wanted in a library automation system and then some. The tech support is awesome; I can call with any question, from "This doesn't seem to be working correctly for me right now" to "I'm having a brain cramp and forgot where to find ___." The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are a few things I can't configure exactly the way I would like, but it's possible those may be resolved when I update to v. 7.

"Alexandria: The Good, the Bad and the Mediocre"
Cataloging is always easy and I love how it works great consistently. This is good. When checking in a stack of books there is rarely a person in front of me while I'm doing so. So WHY is there an interruptive pop-up that says this patron has an overdue when the most likely item i check in will be that overdue? what is the purpose of this??? this is the very bad. And finally when printing out patron details the page formatting does not show everything easily even if you change the page set up from portrait to landscape. This is the mediocre.

"My point of view"
Most of the time, Alexandria is ok. Sometimes I think there is a lot of clicking here, then there to get the information needed. It's hard to see who had a book out last when it was already checked in, and then I found some damage, and want to see who had it last. the list shows from the first checkout, and I can't see who was last.

"Can't get excited about Alexandria"
We are using version 6 right now and for the last 6 years and we have always had issues. From using the reports, to printing labels, to getting student information from Power School. The system is not intuitive and I don't care for the cataloging interface when I have to input items manually. I wouldn't recommend it.

"Excellent technical support service!"
This is my 7th year using Alexandria and it has been a smooth experience for our school. The occasional issue/glitch is generally solved very quickly with a call to technical support, who are extremely knowledgeable, patient and competent.

"♥A.R."
I wouldn't want to be without Accelerated Reader. It drives our students to read constantly ♥
