"Never do business with this banks…"

Never do business with this banks merchant services. I purchased a POS System for over $1k from Woodforest Bank and ot was defective now they don't want to refund me for a defective piece of merchandise. They keep trying to charge my account when I canceled the services. A guy named Bryce was acting as if he was going to help me but it seems like he's giving the run around. I'm trying to reach a manager but it seems impossible. I'm livid!

Years ago I had Woodforest Bank it was the best bank oh my five kids and their boyfriends and girlfriends and husbands and wives came to Woodforest Bank my friends the people I worked with all of them came it was the best bank!
THATS WHERE IT ENDS PPL….

I left the bank and came back a few years later the young girl that signed me up treated me like to her mother her whole life but couldn’t she was hateful she was rude she was disrespectful it was almost like she was trying to win the number one place for being the meanest and rudest customer service lady at Woodforest Bank !!!!!

My daughter has the same name as me so the taxes took $286 out of my account instead of my daughter account and windy internal revenue system says you don’t owe money people you know you don’t owe it they said that it was another person with the same name and address I told him right then I know exactly what happened!!!!
Well of course nothing was done years later this is where it starts I come back to Woodforest the mean girl I say do I get the silver account and she says so hateful it depends on if you owe us money or not and I said well if anything you guys owe me money because of the taxes thing it turns out that somehow I owe $31 that’s not even true because when I close my account they gave me money back she was so rude and treated me like somebody who had let their bank account go so it was rude from then on they messed up my card when they sent it to me first they didn’t give me one then they wanted to charge me for it every time I went in and every time I called it was the same thing just rude rude acting like I’m disturbing them never can help me with anything I ask I always end up losing like the money or not having a silver account AS IVE FINALLY MADE IT TO THAT AGE!!! I have to wait a year!!!
I just got off the phone with them they needed to fix my Apple Pay I’m on the side of the road about not to run out of gas and they want my debit card number? if I had my debit card number I wouldn’t be on the side of the road!then they wanted to know which bank I opened it at and there’s two different ones I opened it at so I told her if it wasn’t the one it was the other she wouldn’t let me do it so I asked to speak to a supervisor and the supervisor said if I don’t have my card with me I can’t do it!!! if I had my card with me I wouldn’t be on the side of the road🙄 so the supervisor had said some thing that wasn’t true so I finally called back and this lady when she said it wasn’t the one in Fredericksburg I said is it the one in Charlottesville? and she said yes! now the other lady wouldn’t let me do that so are these people going to be consistent?? in their supervisors don’t know ??? as much as the people that you’re on the phone with 🙄and they just get rude or there was such a language barrier there I couldn’t understand her she couldn’t understand me but I guarantee you this when I hung up she understood those words !!!!🤬😳

So this last lady I got off the phone with WAS GREAT!!!! I was getting ready to call and cancel my account go in there or everything!!!! IMA leave it for a little longer😳 I don’t know ?but I have never put a review or a bad review or anything like that but this is just too much!!!!🤬 this bank is too much😡 I told them “you guys have enough customers that if I’ll leave it doesn’t matter to you guys “even though it should but I see from these reviews !!!!there’s more than one customer
that’s not happy with this dumb BANK🙄

Whoever that lady is that answers the phone for customer service, I believe her name is Georgina. She’s very rude, I was asking a question about my card and she sounded annoyed and hung up the phone on me. Very unprofessional.

"Terrible bunch of thieves"

Terrible bunch of thieves. Makes me wonder how crooked is Walmart to allow them to do business in their stores. They must be getting one hell of a kick back. They took $30 from $100 l opened the account with because l didn't make a deposit soon enough. If they have banks in hell, that's where all their employees will be!!!

"Objectivity"

I attempt objectivity as a former banker however this business seems to be a startup. I am an advocate for diversity but I cant count how many mixups i have had with customer service because of language barriers. I cant help but think their employment of minorities is for tax credits & lower wages primarily. Not for the sake of diversity and equality because in fraud, claim etc., there needs to be clear communication however after 6 interactions, I have yet to speak with anyone who understood me nor I them without restating the facts several times. Their ATM's are basically useless and their practices require serious review. They lock my card and notify me days later after i have been embarrassed repeatedly by failed attempts. I am happy they want to secure my card for out of the norm transactions but such drastic measure and poor communication is not the way! I was leary since I could only find them in Walmarts, a store I abhor however I gave them a shot. I planned to open a cd account but I would never considering how they handle a basic checking. And lets not discuss the odd fee template they assign. Not the best people unless you cant get an account anywhere else

"I have been a Woodforest customer for…"

I have been a Woodforest customer for over 15 years and they used to be great, now they are absolutely horrendous. It would take me hour to write up all the issues that I have had with them in the last 3 years. And it culminated with them canceling my corporate account after opening it due to some 'system failure'. I am talking to my attorney about action that I can bring against them, They have cost me much grief, finances and problems. Sad, sad sad. Great bank gone really bad, I mean really really bad.

I will say there have been some great employees but as I said today to one of them, "It's not you, it's just that you work for a crappy bank!

"Accused Of Being A Criminal"

An employee at 12620 Woodforest on 12/29 accused me of committing fraud after I deposited a cashier's check in the ATM the night before. I'm a long time customer there with two accounts, personal and business.
It was a cashier's check that came from First State Bank in Clute. It was a gift from my family member. The check didn't show up at all, no sign of a deposit on my account. She told me that means it's fraud. I told her it's not fraud. She insisted it was fraud. So I asked her to please give me my check back. Two ladies looked in the ATM and said it wasn't there. They were lying. I asked them to look again and they suddenly found it the second time. There were only two people working there and I didn't get her name, but she is the only Hispanic woman that was there at 9:00 a.m. on 12/29. The security guard woman was trying to intimidate me when she overhead everything. She still insisted it's fraud for NO REASON. She didn't even try to verify it before accusing me of being a CRIMINAL!
I asked the teller to verify the check. Instead of doing her job on her own like a normal person, I had to ask her to verify the check. She googled and called the WRONG bank and said it can't be verified, it's fraud. The bank's phone number is ON the check but she didn't call it and she could've confirmed the number by typing in the CORRECT bank name and address on Google, but she didn't. I have the receipt for my cashier's check and I called them and it was immediately verified. She didn't want to give me my check back. A $4,500 dollar check from my relative who is a high profile successful commercial real estate developer and the check was from his company with the company name on it! This worker is telling me I'm trying to commit FRAUD. She actually believed that she could ROB me of $4,500. She refused to do any part of her job correctly or professionally. She is not only unhelpful, she is extremely rude and accusatory. She is completely INEPT and INCOMPETENT to be employed at a BANK. This type of personality should not be employed at a bank and accusing customers of being CRIMINALS! Just because she is CLUELESS, doesn't mean she can accuse the customer of any wrongdoing. I finally was able to get my check back after much back and forth, and went to the other location at 13301 East Freeway. The person who helped me is named Dora, I think. She is smart, helpful, extremely professional. She knew exactly what happened. She said the ATM mistakenly denied it. She immediately called the correct bank and verified it. Something that was so simple turned into getting abused, belittled, intimidated and accused just because that person doesn't know how to work at a bank.

"Great Customer Service"

I opened an account here because at the time it was in a convenient location for me. I've kept it because Woodforest's customer service is top-notch. It's like a small town bank with a personal touch, I always communicate with actual human beings when I call or email. The tellers at my branch are stellar. Also, Woodforest has strong privacy and security protections that I appreciate very much. Also love that they keep evening and weekend hours, it's so convenient. Highly recommended if you want a bank with convenient hours and great service.
