DO NOT BANK WITH WOODFOREST BANK!! They will not easily reimburse your money back in an event of an unauthorized transaction. You will have to file a dispute and an investigation will have to be done before you can get your money back. & It’s still a 50/50 chance of you actually getting your money back. If you have made previous transactions with a certain company, and then have an unauthorized transaction with that same company, THEY WILL NOT DISPUTE ANY OF YOUR MONEY BACK JUST BECAUSE OF PAST AUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS!! They will basically call you a liar and it will be a lost on your end. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM!! Bank with a bank that will take care of you no matter what!!

Phoned their customer service to report missing debit card and they cancelled the wrong card even after being told to make sure they cancelled the correct card.
Now I have been two weeks without any debit cards and I phoned them and they are saying they cannot see where they have been mailed out.
The local Woodforest was excellent but then when you get ahold of corporate it is the worst.
I will be finding myself another bank!!!

I have been banking with Woodforest for almost 20 years. I have never met an associate, teller, manager or whatever who was anything less than competent, compassionate and cautious. I appreciate their attention to security. Recently I had the occasion to work with a teller named Irvin who, although he wasn't able to help me make a large deposit (security concerns, which I get), he was professional, efficient, kind and understanding. I do not see a time when I will bank anywhere else, or when I wouldn't encourage others to use Woodforest as well.

Do not create an account with them . They allow your account to go into over draft even after opting out of overdraft!

I’ve really enjoyed banking with them I like that I can deposit money through the ATM or get money through the ATM if it’s after hours but the ATM is there I only wish that they had locations that was not connected with Walmart because when Walmart closes I can’t even use the ATM

"I go to deposit a check and they tell…"
I go to deposit a check and they tell me it is going to take 7 business days to clear. So they tell me to go to the bank that the check was written from. Then that bank charges me 8 dollars to cash. The only reason I need to deposit this in my account is to make sure I am creating a paper trail. So 8 dollars down the toilet and just an all around bad experience with the teller/manager at Woodforest to explain why. Either way it is just bad. We are now in the year 2021, not the 1980s. Banking has become fast paced and if a bank cannot keep up on technology, well that is their problem. The way I see it people have to solve their problems. If the bank becomes the problem it is time to go else where. Problem solved. I would have accepted 2 business days, that is reasonable.

This bank is a absolute joke. They are holding my money hostage while I have bills due this is a travesty. Never had these type of problems from a bank over 2400 dollars on hold for a transaction that's been paid for over a week now. I keep calling and everyone says the same stuff. 24 hours when I check after 24hrs still nothing these guys suck after this this bank account will be left a stray

"IRRESPONSIBLE"
Irresponsible. A cell phone company ran a Unauthorized debit card transaction from my checking account over $2300.00. I completed the fraud paperwork twice and was told there was nothing they could do by the branch manager. No effort was made on the part of the bank to return the UNAUTHORIZED funds to my account. This caused me considerable harm and inconvenience. I bank elsewhere and suggest others do the same. Shop around - there are responsible financial institutions out there.
