"Shady bank"
Me and my husband shared a account t at woodforest. I lost my husband due to covid and some one in legal thought we both past and froze my account with my life insurance money. They have not heard the end of this. I will be contacting a attorney for emotional distress.

"14+ year customer until this week"
I banked with Woodforest for over 14 years without issue and this past year has been a nightmare. They have charged me over $5000 in just the last 3 months with Overdraft fees and NSF fees most of which were caused from their own fees. They would show an available balance then the next day charge an overdraft for an item I put through. (Which I might add I don't even have on my account.) I would call they would say a pending item fell off but then ran back through. Then they would kick out anything pending to cover their fee and charge me an NSF fee on every charge they kicked out. Then this past week they canceled my bank cards and are now closing my account without notice prior too stating that my account "has been flagged and is being closed for suspicious activites realted to unallowed usage per banking guidelines." Unsure what that even means considering I've never used it for anything other than paying bills, and making purchases which is what I thought a bank account was for. Completely disgusted that I have wasted my time with this bank through these years.

"By far one of the worst banks"
By far one of the worst banks I’ve ever had to deal with. From bad customer service all the way up to going back and forth on FIVE different occasions something was happening that they couldn’t fix. They do NOT care about their customers nor how to properly run a business. Save yourself a hassle and find a bank that’s going to care about you and the problems that may occur so they can help, unlike Woodforest. Would not recommend to anyone.

"Woodforest is a terrible place to open…"
Woodforest is a terrible place to open up a account their fraud department allow someone to write a hot check of $1000 out of my account and clearly the check is not even signed in my name. This how dumb their fraud department is the person who wrote the hot Check wrote the check to himself and signed it in his own name and Woodforest allowed the check to go threw. I call customer service to get them to credit me back my own money back to me but they couldn’t get it resolved. I had to go threw hoops a dreams to get no answer to why it was so easy for this person to take $1000 out of my account. I have been a very loyal customer to Woodforest for over 10 years and all I ask them to do is to credit me back my money that was easily taken out of my account. I truly advise not to deal with them. I really don’t want to give them any stars. It’s kind of embarrassing when you go to the police station and give a report on someone has be wrote a hot check and doesn’t even sign it in the account holders name. I mean the officer was laughing their socks saying “how did your bank let that grow threw”. So please be careful with this bank.

withdraw money from woodforest bank atm machine from my wife atm card. i when to the teller at the bank and ask to deposit this money into my woodforest checking. one of the twenty dollar bill was missing a piece . he refused to accept this bill. this came out of there atm machine right next to the teller window. i show him the reciept he still refused it.

"Worst bank in the history of banks"
Worst bank in the history of banks. I have been banking with them for over four years now and since right before Covid I have had nothing but problems. First they charged me a $32 fee because I was a one cent overdrawn and that same day that it posted I went to the bank and they still refused to reverse the fee over a penny I should’ve learned my lesson then and close my account but of course I don’t listen to my intuition. My second issue is the fact that someone all the way across the United States used my debit card for Uber which we don’t even have around here and charged over $300 since it happened on a Sat. and no one answers the phone after hrs or Sunday I couldn’t report the fraudulent charges So Uber just kept racking up the charges while I’m waiting to get a hold of somebody. it’s impossible to get a hold of anybody over the phone.And they’re automated System sucks it never understands what you say or what you need and every employee is pretty much rude. Save yourself the hassle and headache and skip this bank, find one that actually has a decent customer service and cares about their customers during this awful pandemic that has already put a strain on everyone. We don’t need you charging us outrageous fees we got enough problems already

"Worst bank I've ever dealt with"
This is the absolute worst bank I have ever seen little lone had to deal with. I cashed a check for my daughter and they refused to deposit it in my account, I have never heard of a bank refusing to do business with a account holder. They sit on your money for 2 weeks when you make a deposit have poor customer service and the tellers all seem to have bad attitudes. I'm done with this bank only reason I switched was because of the number of branches and ease in fixing one if needed while traveling. I will go back to stuffing s mattres before using this bank again

Iam new to handling money my wife did it for me so now iam learning lol and wood forest has had there hands full trying to teach me better ways, iam a little hard headed so I was talking to an officer one day at wood forest and she said Mr Ruff you have a very large amount of over draft fees we were soaking about a defrent matter but that cauth her eye she said let me see if I can get some of these over drift fees retired to you now remember this just popped up the young lady refunded me 200 dollars that blind sided me I dident ask for this it was a gift they never scold me there there to help me I'll be with time untill iam dead

"So much trouble with this bank"
So much trouble with this bank. From depositing money to my account and taking money out my account without my consent or even knowledge to most recent having to dispute unauthorized charges to my account in which it caused my account to have around 6 over draft fees!!! Now being told I can not even have the 6 overdraft fees at 32 dollars each credit back to my account at all until the 10th business day from the day I disputed it??? Common sense should let these people know that I would not willingly my account to be overdrawn 6 times in a week causing my account to go into the negative?? I understand thier need to investigate but atleast credit back the overdraft fees?? I NEVER had any trouble like this with any other bank account I have had. I have only been at this bank a little over 2 months and the very first week I opened the account I had trouble and now here I am again.... not to mention the customer service agents are very unprofessional!!! They are rude and have little knowledge of any questions I ask!! I'm very unhappy with the way this bank treats their customers. After I get my money back I'm taking out all my money and closing my account!! This is a horrible bank and I do not recommend anyone to open an account here. They seriously are terrible!!

I love woodforest bank i have been with them for almost 5 years its never a long line. They are super nice I love that I always get a email every morning telling me what I spend and where and how much I have I love that ❤
