"Left me stranded alone with no money"

Tonight I was left stranded alone in Newcastle with no money to get home as Blueline took it out my bank before even confirming a driver would pick me up!
I live in South Shields and was left stranded in the freezing cold in byker at 1am with no money to get home due to Blueline taking it out of my bank! When I rang I was told “there’s nothing I can do” which is totally unacceptable! Crying down the phone and the operator couldn’t care at all! This company is a danger to everyone!!

"No point pre-booking and poor customer service"

Company has gone massively downhill recently it seems. Had a few issues with prebooked taxis not turning up before, but tonight was ridiculous. Booked at 9.25pm for an 11pm taxi. At 10.59 app still said assigning a driver, and I received a call saying it would be five minutes. At 11.19 we called to enquire where the taxi was, they said it was just coming down the road by us. At 11.25 we called a further time and were told the driver had been and gone as we hadn't shown up. We had been standing on the doorstep of the pub car park so knew this to be a lie, they just said they'd book us another but it would be 20 minutes. When my dad rang back again, they then informed us the driver had been waiting on the main road, not in view of the pub nor where we requested pick up. We eventually got an uber and cancelled. When I've gone in my emails, it says the taxi arrived at 11.22pm and left at 11.24pm! Shockingly bad customer service, only seem to care about your custom if you're being picked up in Newcastle.

Absolutely no point in pre booking with Blueline. Total waste of time via Riide eventually got a taxi an hour late, thankfully I wasn’t waiting outside.
Never again.

"If I could give zero stars I would"

If I could give zero stars I would. I booked a taxi from the Riverside music venue on the Quayside and was told the taxi would be there in 5 mins. 40 mins later and at least 5 calls later I got in the taxi. Each time I called I was told the taxi would be there in 1 min.. Then 2 mins etc.. I do not appreciate being lied to by the telephone operators. Then being told by the taxi driver that they don't know about road closures/road works etc... I find that hard to believe. Customer service is zero. Do not use this company as they are totally unreliable

"I would leave zero stars if I could.In…"

I would leave zero stars if I could.In April this year I booked a 12 seater taxi to the airport from my home.I confirmed this booking last week.Taxi was due to arrive at 4.30am.By quarter to 5 an 8 seater arrived.The driver rang Blueline who said they would despatch another car.So instead of costing us one fare it cost us double.Also the return journey I rang from the airport to be told the driver that was picking us up had had surgery,so no taxi was going to collect us ,they hadn’t bothered to inform us.The woman who I spoke to couldn’t tell me why I hadn’t been informed.Another member of my party organised another taxi.I’m furious that they take these bookings,can’t fulfill them,then don’t inform you.

"Weird Driver"

My driver (Kevin) made me feel uncomfortable during and after my journey. When I tried to get in the back of the car, he told me to sit in the front seat beside him. He was very talkative and overly-friendly. He asked me a lot of personal questions, including whether or not I have a boyfriend. A few weeks later, I encountered the driver again when he was parked in the back-lane outside of my house about 1 metre away from my gate. When I made eye contact with him, he began smiling and waving at me as if he recognised me. As an 18 year old female, this made me feel extremely uncomfortable and quite frankly scared. I’ve avoided Blueline since then because I don’t want to see this driver again.

"Unclear charges and felt unsafe"

Pre-booked a taxi from Gosforth Park for 11pm; told we would need to pay upfront and it would be £31. When taxi arrived we were told we needed to pay £35 and when I said this was more than quoted he told me it might be more again by the time we got home. I queried the upfront charge if it wasn't a guaranteed rate and the driver became very confrontational and said we could get out if we didn't like it - as we were not near a busy area I said we didn't want to do that - I then asked if we were being charged waiting time while he argued and he said we were. I asked that he turn his meter off while we sorted the payment and I was then accused of treating him like a slave and that I had too much to say. I was really offended as I would never treat someone like that and it made me feel really uneasy for my friend making an onward journey once I was dropped off. I would never book this company again as I felt at the mercy of the charging system and very unsafe.
