Just call the company to ask for them to re-tax the car in march due to the car tax changes at the end of the month and was told that this would not be possible first time calling them since i leased the car not helpful at all will not lease through them again

The contract end date was 3 March 2025 and I expected the vehicle to be collected 3rd March but nobody came.
The vehicle MOT expiry date was 4 March 2025 which is after the vehicle was due to be collected by ALD therefore it should not be my liability to MOT the vehicle as ALD has not collected the car on the contract end date
I called today to ask why the vehicle has not been collected yesterday on the 3rd and this is the first time I have been informed that I need to arrange the vehicle collection.
ALD send me invoices every month and a direct debit statement so why on Earth have ALD not written, emailed or called to say that I need to arrange the collection of the vehicle? I received no call, text, letter anything. The CS agent quoted a clause in their response but this clause does not mention anything about the customer needing to arrange the collection of the car.
I have now had to spend my precious time arranging insurance for the car and booking an MOT for today so it’s done in time for when ALD can collect . I work full time and have a 9 month old daughter so this has completely ruined our day and taken away time from my daughter and work as I have also had to arrange emergency child care so that I can now take the car for MOT. Not to mention that I spent all day in waiting for the car to be collected.
This lack of transparency and communication from Ald is unacceptable and disgusting treatment. I spoke to the CS team but no one has apologised or arranged to just collect the car as expected. This is also in breach of their contract as they should be covering the MOT and any work required under the MOT since the contract has ended.
I think I’ll go elsewhere for our car leases going forward.
Response received on the 6th from Ald to close down complaint. Here is my reply,

Yes I have already contacted the financial ombudsman regarding this.
ALD are in breach of contract here as the car should have been collected when the contract ended on the 3rd and are therefore liable for the MOT on the 4th and any work associated with the MOT.
ALD did not make it clear at any point that the car would not be collected on the contract end date or that I had to arrange the collection by contacting ALD before the 3rd. There is no written or verbal correspondence on this and it is not stated in the contract as per the quote of the clause in this email trail.
In the previous emails ALD offered to cover the cost of the MOT in recognition of their error and this demonstrates that ALD are in the wrong and denying liability on purpose in order to evade associated costs connected with the MOT.
I will be looking to recover the cost of the MOT, work costs under the MOT, the insurance I had to take out as the insurance expired on the 4th (the day after ALD were due to collect the car) and my time taken out of my work schedule to arrange all of this.
As mentioned I am a busy full time mum with a 9 month old daughter and I find this response and treatment revolting.

Leaving another awful review on the back of being contacted from the 'wonderful' team on my outstanding payment, which I have requested further information to support my case of evidence when complaining to the Financial Ombudsman but they have the cheek to ignore my message but to call me asking for the outstanding payment despite the case being 'open to investigation'. Honestly if you're thinking about taking car finance with them - think again! They're THE WORST company I have dealt with, clearly out to make money on you. I know my rights as a customer and will continue to fight them. Save yourself headache and stress by going with another finance company
