From Customer Advisor, Matthew, to Paul who fitted my replacement front door, the whole matter was dealt with efficiently, politely and to my complete satisfaction. Such is the quality of Solidor doors that I may never have to buy another but should the need arise, I would have no hesitancy in buying Solidor again Thanks to the whole team.

We had 3 Solidor doors fitted in March 2017.
We love the doors in general apart from what seems to be some design faults or quality issues.The front door has already been replaced due to cracking issues and has now cracked again so needs another replacement, This door is black in colour and have since learnt this can be a problem with dark doors but was never advised of this on purchase .
It’s ok having a 10 year warranty but this last door has only lasted 3 years so once out of warranty we will be left with a cost to replace it should I crack for the 4th time.!
Maybe we will have to change the door style or colour to avoid future issues to a type that doesn’t expand and crack so regularly but this would be at our cost.
Also the garage rear entrance door outer skin is lifting away from the inner structure at the base edge on the inside and the hinge pins sometime lift or fall out.!
The utility rear door so far has been ok apart front the glass surround scotia is now yellow not white due to lack of UV stabilising within the plastic mouldings.
On a positive they look great .! But they just fail to meet expectations long term for a fairly low maintenance door .
I don’t really leave reviews for products but with the experience so far I wouldn’t want anyone else the spend thousands on 3 doors to be left in the situation we will be and face future replacements purely to quality issues . Its a real shame as the door feel solid secure and look fantastic for a period of time.
We decided on Solidor as we expected the best quality experience with the slogan below on the website .
“With regular care and maintenance, your composite door will last up to 25 years and continue to look as as good as the day it was installed.”
If they lasted 15 years I would be fairly happy but a third replacement in 8 year on one door pending and the others already becoming tired after the same period is disappointing.

"Had water ingress via the letter box"

Had water ingress via the letter box. Contacted Solidor and within 24hrs replacement letter box delivered & I fitted it, just before a storm gusting 80mph & heavy rain hit. No issues with new letter box. Cannot add 5* only 4* for some weird reason known only to the IT world!

"Don't waste money on these doors"

These doors are the worst. First of all had replaced 2 years ago due to cracking. Now our panel keeps popping out. Avoid don't last more than 2 years without problems!

"Poor Product, Very Poor Service"

I bought a Solidor front door from my local supplier and experienced problems from the outset. The door has never fitted and at times has been almost impossible to shut.
My big mistake was to accept the assurance that the fit of the door will take a few months to settle – leading me to pay the full cost
The Supplier has sent different fitters on several occasions – I have been told many things - the door is bowed – the frame is twisted – these doors always have these problems – I’ve forced the door!
Throughout, every Fitter/Manager has verbally agreed that the door doesn’t shut properly although Management was more circumspect in written exchanges - possibly because they had installed the door incorrectly in some way?
The final straw was the suggestion that although the door was bowed it was “within the Manufacturer’s tolerance”
I therefore contacted Soildor and asked them to inspect the door.
They refused stating the problem (and the ten year “Guarantee”) was a matter solely between me and the Supplier
I escalated within Solidor and received the same response – they will not inspect the installation

"I ordered and paid 50% on a Beeston…"

I ordered and paid 50% on a Beeston Stablegate door with integral blind glass panel (blinds are essential) in November 2024 and was due to be fitted 20th January 2025 only for the fitters to tell me it wasn’t ready and had no other feedback on my door. Yesterday (21 Jan) I was told that Solidor had changed hands in December 24 and the integral blinds were no longer available. I’m so annoyed, the order was placed before the change and feel it should be honoured to existing customers if they wish to discontinue a product. I’m desperate for a new door and have had to choose a glass panel I don’t want. I’d have chosen a different manufacturer had I known previously but now it’s too late, Bought a door I don’t really want and will have to look at it for years knowing so!
