We had our door fitted about 4 years ago as part of an extension. The extenion is great but the door is not fit for purpose. It has leaked in multiple places (via letterbox, via window). The fitter came out and ‘fixed’ it. The lower glass window is blown and now the fitter is refusing to answer any of our calls/messages. They seem happy to take your money but customer service is very poor.

"An initial enquiry about a front door"

An initial enquiry about a front door, direct with Solidor, saw a prompt reply, guidance from Solidor and our enquiry sent to the local supplier/fitter. Both the customer service from Solidor and the local supplier/fitter have been excellent. Door looks fantastic, lots of people comment on the quality and beauty of the door. As a result, we also had our back door replaced with a Solidor door, very pleased once again. Recently, the front door handle (both sides) failed recently, note, not the lock barrel. The door was fitted late 2017. I contacted Solider direct a few days ago and a replacement has been dispatched. All-in-all, quality doors and first class customer service - thank you Declan (Solider Customer Service). Dr Leanne

"My parents had one of these doors…"

My parents had one of these doors fitted. It's leaked on multiple occasions. It resulted in my father hounding them to deal with it as they continued to fob him off. Eventually they came to deal with the issue and blamed their fitters who did the initial install. 6 months on, it's leaking again in a new place. Given it took over an entire year to resolve the first time, I applied clear CT1 to the joins of the T-bars - all were just snapped in, ever likely water gets through these things. I'd argue the design (and installation) is not fit for purpose.

Given the overall poor quality of the door surround, the pitiful customer service and failure to rectify, I'd seriously avoid this company at every level. Save your money, go elsewhere.

Had an issue with a door on a property I had just purchased. The support team were excellent and sorted the problem , with no charge which was greatly appreciated. Declan responded promptly to emails and ensured I knew when the replacement part was arriving. Thanks again great customer service .

Had a front door from Solidor fitted in 2015 & it had slight defects due to the UV sun … once I had proved the paperwork they delivered (free of charge) a full complete unit including glass & handles to my address, were it was refitted - … so anyone reading this - buy with confidence, a top company SOLIDOR 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

WARNING TO ANYONE LOOKING TO BUY THIS RUBBISH.
Solidor front door fitted around 10/02/24, looked really nice, this lasted around 1 month before it was 8mm - 10mm bowed and warped and very hard to open and close, leaked water in around seal, and not air tight. The centre hinge also became loose and pulled the screws out of the frame due to the bow. Contacted supplier, sent in photos and they agreed to exchange on 22/05/24. less than 2 weeks later the second door is even worse than the last door, very very had to unlock. Contacted bank to do a charge back, then purchased an Edurance door much better quality and has not bowed. Put the 2 Solidors on the bomfire, best place for them!

NO HELP WHATSOEVER - Had a brand new Solidor (expensive) door installed and emailed Solidor to find out what smart locks would work with it. They were literally no help whatsoever. If Solidor doesnt know what smart locks there doors coule use - who would!
