"The door is rubbish"

The door is rubbish - constantly leaking. Have had nothing but problems with it since it was fitted in 2016. It was sold to us with a 10 year warranty which is a joke as, if a window/door company fit it, they are the ones with the warranty rather than the end user.

Someone locally passing our place said he has the same door and it has warped.

I complained to Solidor, they told me to contact the fitter which I have done loads of times - he has tried to do what he can to rectify the problem and has been out loads of times making various adjustments but it continues to leak and they won't help him so that doesn't help me either. Have another puddle in the porch tonight.

Apart from the leaking, the plastic on the three square windows which creates a pattern is breaking off - we find bits of it on the floor.

Would never by another door manufactured by this company.

Really pleased with the quality and fit of the door it just tops of our hall renovations

We will be purchasing a back door next year going to go for the composite stable door

Recently purchased a new front door. What a difference! It is absolutely great. No more drafts & plenty of light in the hallway. The door is of excellent quality and is extremely well made. A super purchase - well worth the outlay.

We have had our Solidor front door for 10 years. Just lately one of the threshold rubbers has perished. I rang Solidor and spoke to an excellent representative, Caitlin Bentley, who was extremely helpful. I sent in photos and just 48 hours later, we have received a new rubber and draft seal free of charge. Thank you so much for excellent service.

The door we had was custom made and the advisor (Matthew) was excellent at communicating with us to ensure we had the best quality service and door. Our door is perfect and I cannot fault the efficiency of the company. I have recommended to family and friends.

Do not go near these people . They say there is a warranty, but there is not !! I moved into a house with a new door. Under 3 years later the mechanism has broken. I expected it to be sorted under the 10 year warranty, but no.... Because i did not personally purchase the door there is no warranty ( this was quoted to me). So now i have to pay over £300 to get a faulty, very expensive door fixed. Absolutely appalling

Spoke to the company today and explained the problem.
I was pleased when they said Paul would call with in about 30 minutes. He did and fixed the problem, he was polite and helpful.

Many thanks to Caitlin who arranged for a new multi point locking mechanism free of charge on our 8 year old door. Arrived on the day promised. Not quite 5 star as her other colleagues were not as helpful & £190 locksmith bill to open jammed door & fit new lock was unwelcome
