"The whole experience"

The whole experience, from choosing the window and door design, through to the fitting was very good.
The team turned up on the time specified, explained how the work would be carried out, and got cracking right away. The work was carried out with great care, and once finished everything was cleaned up. It was also explained not to hang blinds or curtains for at least 12hrs to allow the silicon sealant to set, so it remains clean and dust free. All in all very pleased.

The installers were there exactly as we were told and were efficient fast and tidy, altogether we were very happy with the workmanship and with our new windows.

5 windows fitted within 5 hours. Installment team arrived spot on agreed time.(10.30am) Guys very polite and spread floor sheets as they entered.Within 10 mins of arriving first old window was gone! Never sat down to enjoy their bacon rolls......ate on the wing. All finished by 1.00pm. Not a bit of mess was left. Installation team were friendly,helpful and, on going over the plans, nothing was a bother to them. Even recommended a few details. No damage to existing plaster and paintwork which left me with no work at all to do.New windows are excellent.Finally, Mr Bill Steinbach, a factory manager,was pure delight to work with after having had a previous night mare with their sales team. All done and job perfect. Would recommend Penicuik windows.

I was originally very positive about the deal offered by this company but have since discovered that a whole host of information was not disclosed and thus have cancelled my contract. I was told there would be an admin fee of £349 but was NOT told that this would be taken from my account the very next day!! Rather, I was led to believe the admin fee would be included in the total purchase price and would be included in the finance agreement; money which would not be recovered until the work had been completed. Customer services have advised that the money will be refunded but could take up to 30 days even though it took less than 24 hours for the money to be taken from my account!

Secondly, I was told the finance agreement was charged at 1.5% interest. At no point was I told this was monthly and not an annual interest rate.

Thirdly, I NEVER received the e-mail copy of any contract.

All of the above has made me question the reliability of the company. I am sorely disappointed in the way this business has been conducted. I have been contacted by the company in an effort to "retain my business" and when I refused and raised my concerns I was told I would be called by a manager - I'm still waiting for that call. I'm still waiting for my money. Avoid this company if you can.
