"Train was on Time - YES"

We Travel 2x Times - Dresden - Amaterdam and back in own couche - 4x Persons.

Train was on Time. Great 👍
We could sleep as a Family with 2x Children very good.
We feel everytime SAFE ✌️

Would be very cool 😎 if the Train 🚂 could be inside more modern - Fresh colors - nice & smart furniture. Simple not to heavy.
Also the Fresh rooms could be modern - also smart & usable.
🍳 Area could be a possibility to meet also other People.

In General it was very cool to travel directly from Central Station to Central Station. This is really great.
We could also take the Baggage that we need. This is awesome.

"Comfortable journey but some services were unavailable"

I travelled between Amsterdam and Prague recently on European Sleeper and generally liked the experience. The train was on time in both the directions and the arrangements in the sleeper coach (i.e., bed, duvet, etc) was comfortable. One thing to note is that these coaches are pretty old and do not have charging/ plug points.

However, I am giving it only 4 stars because on the train to Prague, the washbasin in our compartment was leaking and the entire floor was wet making our bags, socks, etc wet. Additionally, even though breakfast was included in our fare, we never got any breakfast.

"European sleeper profiting from…"

European sleeper profiting from downgrades!
European sleeper seems to have issues with broken trains, and I have seen quite a few reviews referring to being downgraded. Technical issues can happen, but European Sleeper seems to want to profit from these mandatory downgrades, by offering a refund which is less than the price difference between the higher and lower train carriage category. Is this a deliberate strategy? Getting people to pay for a private carriage and then making them share anyway with a refund of €25pp? I have now been trying to get them to refund me the real difference in price, and keep hitting a brick wall. Customer service claim to not understand my issue, it's not rocket science you would think. A refund should always be minimum for the value of the difference in service.
On top of this issue, they also tried to claim that it would take 10 weeks to refund me, as they had issues with their payment system? At least they corrected that after 4 complaint emails, but still struggling to get a real refund, rather than a made up amount.

"We traveled from Brussels to Berlin…"

We traveled from Brussels to Berlin with our child, who has autism, and from a family perspective, this was an amazing way to reach our destination. Our child was thrilled with everything about the train, which made the journey much easier compared to flying.

On the day of travel, our reservation was downgraded from a sleeper to private couchettes, but after considering our options, we decided to go ahead with the trip. The train left and arrived on time, which was a huge plus.

While the train is a bit outdated, it still had a pleasant atmosphere. As adults, we found the berths a bit firm, but they were comfortable enough for one night. Sensitive sleepers may find it hard to sleep through the long halts during the night. Another thing to consider is that the announcements continue until 22:00, and unfortunately, there’s no way to mute or reduce the volume, which could be challenging for families with small children.

We did have a minor issue with the socket in our compartment, but we came prepared with a power bank, so it wasn’t a big problem. On the positive side, we received complimentary drinking water and a delicious breakfast box.

The journey was peaceful, and we would definitely consider doing it again. I sincerely hope the company continues to develop and grow, with the addition of shared spaces or a wagon with amenities like a snack vending machine and a few seats, as well as space for children to play. We really missed having that option.

"Goede ervaring naar Praag"

Prima reis gehad van Amersfoort naar Praag. We hadden met z’n drieën een privé couchette wat fijn was. Er was een aardige reisbegeleider bij die koffie en thee kon brengen. Door de lange reis en late aankomst kan je lekker uitslapen.
We hadden geen ontbijt besteld bij de boeking en dit betekende dat we geen ontbijt meer konden krijgen wat minder was. Verder zijn de bedjes wel krap voor de prijs die je betaald. We hadden een interrail ticket en moesten nog €250 bijbetalen. Een vergelijkbare reis van Praag naar Gdansk in de meer luxe slaapwagen was €90. Maar voor een beginnend bedrijf als ES geven we het graag uit; de slaaptrein is een grote meerwaarde!

"Une bonne solution alternative à l'avion"

Un vraie bonne solution alternative à l'avion. Le personnel est charmant et le trajet est très correct. Nous avions privatisé un compartiment de 5 pour 3 adultes, ce qui est vraiment plus confortable. Le petit déjeuner est correct mais un peu cher.
Cependant, la propreté est à améliorer (qui ne concerne pas les draps), comme par exemple les tablettes qui n'étaient pas très propres, les fauteuils étaient assez vieux, un peu usés et parfois tachés. Mais le vrai problème concerne les toilettes. Alors, on peut reprocher aux usagers de n'être pas toujours propres, ce qui a été le cas durant ce voyage comme souvent dans les toilettes publiques : chasse d'eau non tirée, essuie-mains jetés à côté de la poubelle et c'est honteux, mais les équipements un peu vétustes et pas très propres n'aident pas. A l'aller, nous avons fini notre voyage dans l'odeur abominable des toilettes qui étaient juste à côté et qui s'infiltrait dans notre compartiment... Les trains sont vieillissants mais je parie qu'une modernisation permettrait une hausse de la fréquentation des lignes. Un wagon-bar serait une bonne idée aussi.
Malgré tout, nous sommes satisfaits de notre voyage. Nous croyons au train et sommes favorables au développement ferroviaire européen.

"Our journey from Amsterdam to Dresden…"

Our journey from Amsterdam to Dresden was punctual with on time departure and arrivals.
There were a number of minor changes which were disappointing and as a result of operating on the national rail networks of Germany and the Netherlands.
The departure station was changed from Amsterdam Central to one in the suburbs which was easy to get to and had plenty of bars for a pre journey drink nearby,
The arrival time in Dresden was changed to nearly an hour later due to engineering works.
And out sleeper coach broke down before the train left Brussels.
We did receive some money back and got transferred to a couchette for our sole use which was not as comfortable but sufficed for the journey.

"Worst service ever "

They changed the destination station 3 days prior, didn’t offer alternatives and didn’t pay any compensation.

"Great way to travel "

Great way to travel further distances. We took European Sleeper already second time, this time to Bad Schandau (beautiful place). We took the couchettes, shared with other people. It was very pleasant journey. I love the way that you just show up for the train, in the morning you get out in the middle of the place you wanted to go. No waiting on the airport, no looking for extra transport from a airport, no extra costs for that. I hope there will be soon extra lines and maybe the Venice line will be back again, we missed that because of not good dates... We will be definitely back.

"Wonderful travel experience"

What an absolutely fantastic way to travel from Amsterdam to Prague. I recently took the European Sleeper night train, and I can honestly say it was one of the best travel experiences I've had. From the moment I boarded, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home.
My couchette was clean, comfortable, and quite spacious (for the first way we were only 2 in the cabin, I highly recommend to book the cabin private, not so expensive and super appreciated to be just with my friend). I slept soundly throughout the night, gently rocked by the rhythm of the train. Waking up to the beautiful Czech countryside was simply magical.
The on-board amenities were excellent. The breakfast served in the morning was delicious and a great start to the day. It was also lovely to chat with fellow passengers on the way back as we were 5 in the cabin (women only).
European Sleeper has truly created a wonderful travel experience. It's not just a journey; it's a relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable way to travel between these two amazing cities. I arrived in Prague feeling refreshed and ready to explore. I highly recommend this service and will definitely be using European Sleeper again in the future. Five stars!
