"Difficulty logging in and slow "

Difficulty logging in yesterday so telephoned. Was told it is "a glitch"on their system.
Still unable to log on to today so telephoned to be told it's my fault for using Firefox Browser. Firefox works fine for me on all my other financial websites. Used different browser and logged in ok. Set up new account ok. Now waiting for the money transferred to appear in the account. Why do they not use fast transfer Payments like other banks?

"Sheldon CBS really does have great employee's "

Sheldon CBS has great employee's and Wendy has to be up there as one of CBS best. She's always professional helpful and always asks if there is anything else she can help with. Today with her help I set up online banking even though I will still prefer to go into the bank to conduct my business. Employers have to know that having an employee like Wendy only adds value to their company. Looking forward to the next time I go into Sheldon CBS.

"Paper-heavy customer identification process"

As a former customer from 20 years ago, I decided to open a new on-line savings account. I duly received a Welcome letter in the post, which took 6 days to arrive. I now need to send them , again by post, a deposit by cheque, and certified copies of my identity documents, e.g. passport and driving licence. Presumably these latter documents will be returned to me at some stage, also by post. Whilst this level of security scrutiny is comforting, it does seem a slow and cumbersome process, and set in the past.

Other equally reputable institutions seem able instantly to establish my bona-fides electronically these days, without the need for shuffling paper. This is more in keeping with my expectation of an up-to-date easy-access on-line banking experience.

Now I am sure that if I popped into my nearest branch, armed with all the necessary documents, some kind staff member could help expedite the process, but as that is a 300-mile round trip, I won't be doing so. It looks as though I will have to let my application lapse. Sorry about that.

Antony Leone was helpful and understanding about my hearing problems.
His manner was reassuring and friendly.
He took me step by step through the process of registering for my online account, I had previously had problems through an obsolete phone number.
He also showed loyalty and commitment to the Coventry building society.

"5* Service Everytime"

I have just closed my savings account with CBS but have had nothing but 5* service from opening the account to closing it. Everyone I've dealt with has been polite, professional and knowledgeable. Having dealt with many banks and building societies in the past I can honestly say these have been the best. I will be back !

"Usually positive, but fobbed off today. "

I've had a buy-to-let mortgage for years with no issues, and as recently as yesterday, I had a positive experience with a helpful representative on the phone. They informed me that I could call back today (15th Feb) to speak with a buy-to-let specialist and that the lines would be open until 2 pm.

However, when I called at 12:45 pm, I was told that the specialists were on their final calls and would not be taking any more—despite the lines officially closing at 2 pm. If calls cannot be taken beyond a certain time, it would be clearer and more transparent to adjust the advertised hours accordingly.

After being put on hold, I was disappointed to be told that the specialist I needed to speak with declined to take my call in case it overran and that I should try again another day. This was frustrating, especially given the information I had received the day before. I would appreciate more consistency in communication and a clearer policy on when calls can actually be taken.
