Closing an old account and opening a new one. This and registering for online services was all completed swiftly, efficiently and informatively by cashier Preet. She was friendly, thorough and extremely knowledgeable and didn’t rush although we only had 20 mins till closing. What a pleasure she is to the customer and I’m sure an invaluable employee.

I already have ISAs in 2 other building societies, so I know how the procedure works. Would totally recommend the Coventry to anyone looking to open an account .

I went into the branch today as I was interested in opening an account. Aadil was the guy who helped me and went thru the process. I'd rather do this sort of thing in person rather through technology.

"Initial difficulties getting registered and an account set up but good rates and helpful advisers"

NOW EDITED but was still difficult to get INTO account, which seemed to request I register again - to transfer a sum INTO a tax free ISA I was given to understand I would receive a letter with phone password. I did speak to a VERY helpful lady based in a Swindon office who did tell me I am welcome to call again & I could be 'talked through it' taking our time! No letter received so tried again. Spoke to another agent who was able to again 'talk me through' the process. Some clearer instruction on the website would be more useful
