I have contacted a few lawyers to get assistance with a tennant issue. Everyone one was wanting their money before doing anything and I was the person still to do the work. I was put onto SAL buy a colleague of mine who said that they were the best way forward. Yes I did have to pay an annual fee, BUT that was well worth the money for the help I have been given. I was so lucky to have Jill as my contact as she has been amazing and guided and helped me through the process. YES, I still do the work but I have learned a lot from the short time I have worked with her on this case. I would highly recommend SAL to any current / potential landlord.

As an amateur landlord, I don’t think I could manage things well without the support from the Scottish Association of Landlords. Their guidance for landlords is invaluable and keeps us on the right side of the increasingly complex regulatory minefield.
Almost instant advice is available from property experts and lawyers. I recently attended an on-line webinar about tenant referencing which offered invaluable information just when I needed it, presented in an easily digestible conversational format. I am more confident now about the search for new tenants. One of many similar useful sessions. Highly recommended.

In my experience, SAL provide sound, tailored and incredibly useful advice and support, from securely navigating changes in legislation to working through setting up new contracts robustly and handling challenging tenants. Their resources are clear and applicable too.
Their advisors are on hand Monday to Friday and are so knowledgeable and understanding, no problem is too big or too small.
As a Landlord of one property, which I manage myself, I wouldn’t be without SAL. I’ve been a member for almost 12 years and it has been worth every penny.
