"A company of con artists"

A company of con artists! Had all my windows and patio doors replaced and have had nothing but trouble since! Handles snapped of the windows, the patio doors are far too heavy and sag causing them not to close properly. The so called salesman was a retired army officer but upon reflection, he was nothing more than a bully man that pushed the sale. Tried to contact this company to attempt to get our issues addressed, no way to get a hold of them. The finance company that was pushed upon us weren’t much better. You live and learn and I’ll never allow a company to take advantage of me like this again.

Originally had windows fitted by Penicuilk home improvements on 4.1.18. Over the past year one if the windows has dirty marks on the inside of the double glazed unit. I have been trying to contact customer services regarding the fault. Telephone number not recognised and can't find any other contact information

"£6500 gutters"

Having power of attorney over my elderly mother as she became older and unable to look after herself. I started to look into a bill she kept complaining about.
Penicuik have done some gutters and soffits and eaves facings for my Mum a while back.

Absolutely disgusted to see they chardged over £6,500 for the work and signed her up for a payment plan which means the total amount payable is £14,000 pounds. 5years ago the work was carried out, and she still has 5k left to pay until 2026
Seeking legal advice as Hitachi Personal Finance are quite happy with the plan.
A plan she never knew of, or signed up for.
Absolute disgrace, ruining my Mums last years on this Earth

If anyone has any help or advice please do comment as I’m seeking legal action

"Stay clear worst windows ever"

This company is pathetic customer service is shocking worst I have ever come across.
Within a year of installation 2 window mechanisms broke I had to pay £180 upfront as a bond even though under warranty,
The windows were repaired and it took 12 weeks to get the £180 back
The windows then broke again and they could not care less
Please stay clear of this company save yourself the hassle

Got French Doors fitted. Size was wrong, glass was marked in between left a complete mess. Phoned emailed got nowhere so 5 years down the line I've been left with it. They appear to have disapeared but they took over Sidey window before and I see Sidey are now trading again so be careful who you buy from..

"Biggest waste of money I ever spent"

Biggest waste of money I ever spent. Windows really poor quality and drafts coming in many of them. Most really hard to open. Phoned to complain about one , guy came out and said he didn’t have the part, then never heard from them again. Feel I’ve paid a very expensive price for poor workmanship and cheap rubbish. Please do your homework before you choose this bunch of con artists

bunch of con artists , 10 year guarantee with weather seal ,,, no there's not as Penicuik gone off the face of the earth until they start up again , jobs worth doing were useless , window replaced due to drafts , the new one is worse than the old one , no rectification or warranty , stay clear if they start up and go with a long serving company not these cowboys

"Got windows last year"

Got windows last year , had nothing but trouble all way through fitting and job was stopped and started , even had a "manager" come review often through job. I have been sending emails, letters and phone calls as there are still many problems , no one is interested , they have your money now. I my next port of call is now legal action . This company has worked and then ceased trading and then starts again under different name , they should not be allowed do this someone should be monitoring these companies

Job worth doing are no longer trading and any of its associated companies. They ceased on the 17th October so I was told on the fone this morning. I got my windows may 2018 and had trouble after installation and again now. So my 10yr guarantee is void. My only saving grace is I took the carefree cover at £90 per yr to give extra 5yr cover and a few other bits inc yearly maintenance. A company has taken over this warranty so I am waiting on them calling me back to arrange a date to come out. What I don't understand is why all the websites for the companies job worth doing own are still up.
